Vastu for Pooja Room & Meditation Room
A dedicated Pooja and Meditation room acts as the spiritual powerhouse of the home, radiating tranquility, mental clarity, and divine cosmic blessings to every family member.
- Prime Direction: Northeast (Ishan Kon) is the most auspicious corner for a mandir or meditation sanctuary. East and North are suitable secondary locations.
- Facing While Praying: One should face East or North while performing daily prayers or meditating.
- Idol Placement: Idols should be placed a few inches away from the wall and slightly elevated above ground level. Avoid keeping broken or damaged idols.
- Cleanliness & Sanctity: Never build a pooja room adjacent to, below, or above a bathroom, toilet, or under a staircase.
- Lighting & Colors: Use soft white, light yellow, or light blue wall colors. A ghee lamp in the Southeast corner of the altar creates positive sattvic energy.
